YMCA EN PANAMA DEBERIA SER UN MUSEO HISTORICO..... YMCA SHOULD BE IN A MUSEUM PANAMA HISTORICAL.

Asi era la YMCA hace muchos años, ese Edificio era bellisimo.

En 1966 se fundó otro YMCA en la ciudad de Panamá, y su sede cambió en varias ocasiones.
Los dos YMCA funcionaban paralelamente hasta que en 1980 revirtió el edificio de Balboa al YMCA de Panamá y se convirtió en un solo YMCA, y una carga económica para sus administradores.
En 1966 se fundó otro YMCA en la ciudad de Panamá, y su sede cambió en varias ocasiones.
Los dos YMCA funcionaban paralelamente hasta que en 1980 revirtió el edificio de Balboa al YMCA de Panamá y se convirtió en un solo YMCA, y una carga económica para sus administradores.
Al pasar por Ancon quede muy sorprendida porque el YMCA esta todo abandonado y cercado este lugar deberia ser Monumento Historico, deberian de Restaurarlo y convertirlo como un Museo ya que ese lugar es parte de la Historia de Panama, en la parte de afuera nunca vi un cartelon que dijera si lo van a restaurar o a derrumbar ojala no lo derrumben. Ahora buscando informacion al respecto me acabo de enterar de esto:

“No se demolerá el edificio de YMCA”, declara Donoso. Con respecto a los señalamientos de la comunidad, explica que “Grupo Rey es una compañía respetuosa de todas las normativas de las comunidades donde operamos, y esta no será la excepción”.

Sorprendidos siguen los residentes de El Chorrillo. “Después de
tantos años de abandono, el desarrollo llegó a nuestro barrio, hasta

y vivió en familia por más de 50 años, siente que la historia del
barrio hubiera sido otra si después de la reconstrucción de El Chorrillo
en 1990 se hubieran creado espacios deportivos y de esparcimiento. “Sin
duda, creo que la ociosidad por la escasez de sitios para el deporte
fue nuestro mayor enemigo”, comentó.
Un día después de la inauguración de la Cinta Costera 3, ahora se preparan para desempolvar las viejas historias urbanas sobre el origen del nombre del cuadro de fútbol que por los años 40 llamaron Maracaná.
El sitio que sirvió de entrenamiento para grandes figuras del fútbol y de “birria” para otros, pasó de ser un cuadro improvisado sobre una área de manglar a un estadio con todas las medidas reglamentarias de la Fifa. “Para esos años, el fanatismo que sentían los deportistas del barrio por el equipo mundialista de Brasil los llevó a imaginarse que practicaban en el Maracaná de ese país, cuando apenas era un cuadro sobre un área de manglar. Con el paso de los años y el apoyo de algunos sectores, la historia sigue con nosotros”, es parte de la narración recogida entre los más adultos del barrio.
Hoy a las 6:00 p.m., la comunidad y el resto de la ciudad serán
testigos del nacimiento del nuevo Maracaná. El presidente de la
República, Ricardo Martinelli, hará la formal inauguración del nuevo
estadio.
La obra, que es uno de los componentes de la Cinta Costera 3, estuvo a cargo de la constructora Norberto Odebrecht para que los niños y niñas de El Chorrillo y barrios adyacentes se involucren en el deporte y tomen distancia del riesgo social.
El acto inaugural incluye un encuentro amistoso de fútbol entre un combinado de Brasil y la selección panameña. La actividad deportiva incluye la participación de los Masters de los clubes Plaza Amador y el Chorrillo Fútbol Club.
La participación será abierta al público a través de boletos gratis y aquellos que no logren ingresar al estadio, con capacidad para 5,500 personas, tendrán la oportunidad de disfrutar del encuentro a través de pantallas gigantes que se colocarán en la parte externa del estadio Maracaná.
Entre los jugadores panameños que participarán en el partido de exhibición, destacan: Alfonso Méndez, Germán Julio, Fabián Castillo, Roberto Corvin, Ernesto Tapia, Ricardo Buitrago, quienes en múltiples ocasiones realizaron destacadas participaciones que dejaron al país en alto.
En tanto, la actuación internacional y testigos de la iluminación del nuevo estadio estará a cargo de los campeones de la Copa del Mundo de Estados Unidos 1994, los brasileños Dunga, Bebeto, Rivaldo, Viola, Careca y Ronaldao.

El nuevo coliseo deportivo, cuyo costo de construcción es de 8 millones de dólares, tiene capacidad para 5,500 personas, dispone de las medidas reglamentarias de la Fifa, iluminación para transmisiones televisadas, medidas de seguridad, 111 estacionamientos, sala de prensa, vestidores para árbitros, equipos locales y visitantes, baños públicos, 22 palcos en todo el estadio (11 en el área este y 11 en la oeste), 20 puertas de entrada, sala de enfermería y cuartos de exámenes para antidopaje.
El diseño fue creado con los estándares necesarios de ventilación.
Carlos Ho, director de proyectos especiales del Ministerio de Obras Públicas, informó que en principio el estadio estará en manos del MOP para su mantenimiento y seguridad. “Hay un equipo que se encarga de analizar bajo qué modalidad administrativa se dará en concesión el estadio”.
Olga Cárdenas, dirigente comunitaria de El Chorrillo, garantizó que la misma comunidad se encargará de custodiar las nuevas infraestructuras. “La misma gente va a aprender a cuidar y darle la bienvenida a los visitantes, porque es una oportunidad de vida!”, comentó. Además estamos seguros de que el desarrollo de actividades deportivas ayudará mucho al chorrillero en sus actividades comerciales de subsistencia.
Un día antes del evento, el técnico de la Selección de Fútbol de Panamá, el colombiano Hernán Darío “El Bolillo” Gómez, recorrió el sitio y admitió que el estadio “es funcional” y que la “selección podría jugar un partido de preparación” en el mismo, dada la “calidad de la cancha”.
